HOW CAN I
FIND OUT IF MY EXISTING CAPITAL EQUIPMENT CONFORMS TO NATIONAL SAFETY
STANDARDS?
Safety of production workers is the primary concern of all manufacturers.
To insure that your company has taken all necessary precautions,
see our Safety Requirements page.
WHAT CAN
I DO TO MAINTAIN SAFETY STANDARDS, INCREASE EFFICIENCY, DECREASE
HAZARDOUS EMISSIONS, AND REDUCE ENERGY COSTS?
Rebuild, Retrofit, and Renovate. The passage of time, heavy use,
and advances in technology often make aged equipment unfit by today's
standards. See our Renovations page for more
information.
WHY SHOULD
I SPEND MONEY NOW TO RENOVATE MY OBSOLETE
EQUIPMENT WHEN IT IS WORKING JUST FINE?
By waiting until the equipment fails, you are facing an unscheduled
shutdown, which would be more costly than scheduled work.
WHY WOULD
THIS UNSCHEDULED SHUTDOWN BE MORE COSTLY?
Unplanned downtime adds all the lead time involved in acquiring
materials and scheduling labor to the shutdown.
HOW DO I
KNOW IF IT IS BETTER TO REPLACE EQUIPMENT OR RENOVATE IT?
Because Corbett Industries both renovates and manufactures this
equipment, we are willing to issue comparative quotations for replacement
vs. renovation.
WHY IS PERIODIC
MAINTENANCE (PM) NECESSARY?
PM is necessary on industrial process heating equipment for all
the reasons PM has been proven to be cost effective on any machinery,
but is additionally important on fuel burning equipment to insure
the safety controls are functioning correctly.
HOW OFTEN
SHOULD I DO PERIODIC MAINTENANCE (PM)?
Corbett Industries suggests to initially conduct PM at a six month
interval. At the time of the second visit, the condition of the
equipment will determine if the interval should be increased or
decreased. Because the assurance that safety controls are functioning
correctly is involved, we feel that annual PM should be the minimum.
